IMS, in partnership with Digital Luxembourg, Script and The Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition organised a webinar to present the new and innovative matchmaking platform. The aim is to connect experts and teachers to organise Digital related activities in schools.

The session was introduced by Claudine Kariger, policy adviser from SMC. Luc Weis, director of the SCRIPT (innovation agency from the Ministry of Education) presented the new coding matchmaking project.

Following the introduction on the need for digital courses in elementary school, the SCRIPT is calling for volunteers and trainers to join and support schools/teachers in order to offer more activities during EU Code Week 2020.

As part of the initiative Einfach Digital, a matchmaking platform will be launched in September.

Experts/Volunteers, individuals from companies, members of IMS and others, are invited to register their profile to be matched with a school or/a teacher looking for support to offer coding activities in their classroom.

The goal is to have more than 100 activities offered in 2020/2021 thanks to the platform.

The activities can be creative, eg. offering an introduction to art and coding or coding and entrepreneurship.

A webinar was also organised in May and the replay is available online.

Parents and students from Lycées can also be involved in these initiatives.
