Speaker: Associate Prof. Silvia Allegrezza
Abstract:
AI may radically change crime intelligence in supporting innovative approaches to profiling, to DNA analysis, gunshot detection, and crime forecasting. Predictive AI might help to assess the risk of recidivism.
In the specific field of white-collar crimes, AI offers unprecedented technological support to fraud detection and to the fight against money laundering and terrorism financing. But self-learning machines might make errors and even commit crimes. How should criminal law react to these challenges?
