The Digital Skills and Jobs Platform Europe will be organising the webinar to discuss the current cybersecurity skills gap in Europe and the future trends on Monday 21st of March 2022, 11:00 – 12:00 (CET)


The webinar brings together highly relevant speakers discussing concrete actions to address the cybersecurity expert shortage at European and national levels.

In his keynote speech, Professor Jason R. C. Nurse from Kent University will present his key findings from the ENISA report on Addressing Skills Shortage and Gap Through Higher Education, and outline the recommendations to tackle the cybersecurity skills gap.

A panel will follow with speakers from different key domains – Policymaking, Member States, SMEs.

  • Miguel Gonzalez-Sancho, Head of the Cybersecurity Technology and Capacity Building Unit, DG CNECT, European Commission – Tackling the cybersecurity skills gap through policies
  • Valentin Negoita, President of APDETIC, Romania National Coalition – Concrete initiatives at the Member State level to tackle cybersecurity issues and skills shortage
  • Gordon Kirstein, Movetech-IT solutions – Bridging the cybersecurity gap in businesses

Participants will also have the possibility to send their questions and comments.
